I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and moved to the United States in 1991 after graduating from the University of Edinburgh. I hold a master’s degree in communication disorders from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I obtained my massage therapy certification at the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville and enjoy attending many continuing education classes in order to continually grow as a therapist.
I balance massage therapy with work as a Speech-Language Pathologist for school-aged children at ArtSpace Charter School in Swannanoa. I also enjoy music and sing with two groups: The Muses, a three-woman a capella group; and Tongue & Groove, a new jazz / pop quartet. When I am not doing massage, speech therapy or singing, I can often be found tending my organic garden or traveling the world taking beautiful photographs.
